THE UPS AND DOWNS OF HOMOSEXUAL POLITICS
Homosexual activists in Canada assume that since they are enthusiastically supported by trendy judges, politically correct Human Rights Commissions and the bottomless pit of funding from the Court Challenges Program, all they have to do is to bring their cases to court, and society's resistance to their unhealthy lifestyle and sexual practices will just melt away. It isn't proving to be quite that simple, however, because stumbling blocks keep getting in their way.
Fredericton Mayor Refuses Gay Pride Demands
The homosexual activists hit a road block in New Brunswick when Mayor Brad Woodside of Fredericton refused to proclaim a Gay Pride Week.
Ever-faithful to the homosexual cause, the Human Rights Commission in New Brunswick investigated the complaint and found that Mayor Woodside was discriminating against homosexuals.
Roly MacIntyre, the Minister responsible for the Human Rights Commission, stated he would order a Board of Public Inquiry if no agreement can be made between the homosexuals and the mayor. When the Board of Inquiry rules against Mayor Woodside (a foregone conclusion), he will face a hefty fine. Mayor Morrow of Hamilton, Ontario, was fined $5,000 for his refusal to proclaim a Gay Pride Day in 1995 and Mayor Diane Haskett of London was fined $10,000 in 1997, for committing a similar offense. Mayor Woodside said he's not worried about a fine because, as far as he's concerned, issues involving sexual orientation have no place in [municipal] council chambers.
Please write Mayor Woodside and thank him for his principled stand and offer him encouragement to hold fast.

KLM Airlines and the Gay Games
KLM Airlines has announced it is "proudly" sponsoring the Gay Games which are to be held in Amsterdam in 1998.
KLM, which has an excellent record of safety and sound financial policies over the years, can, no doubt, attribute at least part of its success to business gained from the traditional families which includes 74% of the Canadian population (1996 Census). Homosexuals, on the other hand, according to most authoritative studies and reports, consist of 1½ - 3% of the Canadian population.
By KLM "proudly" sponsoring the Gay Games in Amsterdam, it is providing support and recognition to the homosexual lifestyle for which the official homosexual community is seeking social and legal recognition -- the same as given the traditional family. The decision to sponsor the Gay Games is an abandonment of the sacrifices made by the traditional family -- sacrifices upon which the future of this country depends -- and gives unwarranted credibility to the homosexual cause.
Please write to KLM expressing your dismay at its decision to support the Gay Games.
