ROYAL BANK FUNDS HOMOSEXUAL ORGANIZATIONS
The Royal
Bank's deep involvement in the homosexual cause becomes even
more apparent.
The Bank
is now on record as funding nine different homosexual organizations
and causes in Canada, including the notorious Toronto Gay
Pride Parade with all its blatant nudity.
The website
for the Royal Bank states:
When
it comes to helping meet the needs of our friends and family
members in the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered
community, though we prefer to let our actions speak for
us, we can point to a history of sponsoring and donating
to such organizations and causes as
Buddies
in Bad Times Theatre (Toronto)
Central Toronto Youth Services (Toronto)
Gay Life & Style Show (Toronto)
Lesbian Gay Bi Youth Line
New Directions (Toronto)
Positive Women's Network (Vancouver)
Toronto Area Gays & Lesbians Photo Line and Crisis
Counseling
The Toronto [Gay] Pride Day Parade
Vancouver [Gay] Pride Society
The reason behind those sponsorships and donations to homosexual
causes and organizations is also made clear in the Bank's
website on "Sponsorship Opportunities" which states:
We're
looking for creative entities that present us with a landscape
filled with marketing potential, banking opportunities, media
extensions, image fit, community relations activities and
client development opportunities.
In other
words, the Royal Bank is cashing in on the fact that homosexuals,
far from experiencing discrimination, are both highly educated
and affluent 1 and, therefore, are a lucrative target group
for the Royal Bank.
That
is, the Royal Bank has apparently decided that homosexuals
are a more desirable community to target and serve than the
many decent, family-orientated customers who are not sympathetic
to the homosexual cause. To show its favoured groups its concerns
for their cause, the Bank has deliberately refused its services
to those whose policies include opposition to the homosexual
agenda, such as the No Committees of Quebec and Ontario. (See
Reality, March/April 2002, p. 1, "Royal Bank Officially
Confirms Its Policy Of Discrimination".)
Royal
Bank Will Not Apply Pro-homosexual Policies in US
The Royal
Bank is now planning to extend its already huge holdings in
the US by spending between $3 billion to $5 billion during
the next one or two years on further US acquisitions because
it claims there are "few opportunities for growth in
Canada," (Financial Post, Oct. 3, 2002).
The Royal
Bank, however, according to an article published in the Washington
Times on September 23, 2002, which outlined the Royal
Bank's discriminatory policies toward pro-family groups, was
quoted as stating that it does not intend to impose its pro-homosexual
policies in the US, even though, in a letter dated January
18, 2002, addressed to the Ontario No Committee, such a policy
was in accordance with the Bank's "standard of conduct
and values."
One can
only assume that it dare not do so, notwithstanding the active
homosexual community in the US, because, population-wise,
there are so many more Christians in the US (three million
Southern Baptist alone) who are prepared to act on their principles.
Not that committed Christians fail to act in Canada, but there
is a much smaller population here. This, coupled with the
fact that Canadians, in general, seem to be less politically
active than Americans, has enabled the Royal Bank to continue
to cater to its target group, the homosexual community. This
also means that anyone who continues to bank with the Royal
Bank, is also, unwittingly or not, contributing to the homosexual
cause.
