MEET OUR SPEAKERS

JEFFREY ASHER

Jeffrey graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychological Statistics. He taught at Dawson College for 29 years in the Humanities Department. He has published articles on male epidemiology internationally in "Social Policy" and the "Canadian Journal of Life Insurance." He's also had many articles published in Everyman, The Backlash, The Liberator, The Ottawa Citizen and the Vancouver Sun.

KATHERINE YOUNG
Katherine has a B.A. in Philosophy and Religion, an M.A. in the History of Religions, and a Ph.D. in the History of Religions. A professor in the Faculty of Religious Studies, a member of the Centre for Medicine, Ethics, and Law, and a member of the Institute of Comparative Law all at McGill University. She has co-authored a trilogy with Dr. Paul Nathanson. The first volume has appeared under the title Spreading Misandry: The Teaching of Contempt for Men in Popular Culture.

PHILIP HORGAN

Philip is a Toronto lawyer with the firm Costigan, Horgan. He practices in the areas of civil and commercial litigation. Since 1994, Mr. Horgan has been the Vice-President of the Catholic Civil Rights League. Through the League, Mr. Horgan has been active in court interventions and media engagements in the areas of religious freedom, conscience rights and the preservation of the family. He is married with five children.

C. GWENDOLYN LANDOLT

Gwen is a graduate of the Faculty of Law, University of British Columbia and was called to the B.C. bar. She has worked in private practice, as a Crown Prosecutor, as well as with the Federal Justice Department. Gwen has written numerous briefs and articles with special emphasis on constitutional issues, in particular the Charter of Rights. Gwen has attended in many U.N. conferences over the past ten years presenting the pro-family perspective. She is married with five children.
