REAL WOMEN NATIONAL AWARD
REAL Women was delighted to give its National
Annual Award to Conservative MP Garry Breitkreuz (Yorkton-Melville)
for his heroic efforts to preserve and promote traditional
values in Canada.
Since his election to Parliament in 1993,
Mr. Breitkreuz has initiated petitions and introduced many
pro-life motions, including the definition of a human being;
a woman's right to know, and abortions not being medically
necessary. He has also been a forceful spokesperson on national
daycare, parental rights and responsibilities, sexual orientation,
definition of "spouse", child pornography, religious
freedom and the disciplining of children by spanking. He has
also been an able spokesperson against the billion-dollar
gun registry boondoggle.
Mr. Breitkreuz's efforts as a Member of Parliament
have been exemplary. They reflect his private life as a wonderful
husband, father, former schoolteacher and farmer. Thank you,
Mr. Breitkreuz, for your integrity, decency and strength.
