IN MEMORIAM
REAL Women of Canada has lost one of its most
loyal and devoted Board members, Betty Ann Snee of Lethbridge,
Alberta.
Betty Ann, who was a member of the REAL Women
Board for many years, passed away in May of cancer.
No one worked harder for the cause of the
family and REAL Women than Betty Ann. Her deep commitment
to caring for others was a part of her being. She gave of
herself without reserve to all those who needed her care,
whether in her professional capacity as a nurse or otherwise.
For example, for years, Betty Ann carried
out the unenviable task, without complaint, of sorting our
news publication Reality for mailing purposes.
It took hours and hours of her precious time. In addition,
for a long while, she carried out the laborious work of desk
top publishing our publication. Her patience and devotion
to any responsibilities she was given as a member on REAL
Women's Board were remarkable, and a wonderful example to
the rest of us.
We will all deeply miss Betty Ann's cheerful,
warm and loving presence. She was a devoted mother of six
and grandmother to five.
Our deepest sympathy to Betty Ann's husband,
Tom, and to her children and grandchildren.
